Liberty Feminist Poster - Djamila Bou Hreid
Every fall, a monarch butterfly embarks on a journey it knows it will never return from.
Individual monarchs fly in an attempt to reach warmer grounds, but as the route is very long they never make it themselves but their hatched eggs along the way grow into their destined traveling role and continue the migration. It might take the monarchs as many as four to five generations to complete the journey…
Individual monarchs have been doing this for thousands of years because if they don’t, their breed becomes extinct.
I’m celebrating the monarchs in our own breed, the brave women and men who embarked on a journey they knew one way or another that they will not be there to see the finish line, but still do it for the next generation.
If we don’t do the mileage we also become extinct…. Liberty is not an exclusive club, fighting for liberty is fighting extinction
